Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR)
The Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR) provides education, training, veterinary and animal husbandry care, and administrative services to support the institution’s animal based research and teaching needs. The DLAR coordinates efforts to provide a humane, quality animal care program in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The programs and facilities are USDA registered, covered under an Assurance with the Office of Lab Animal Welfare (OLAW) of the PHS, and accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).
