Editorial Assistance

OORHS staff members are available to assist Health Sciences faculty members by providing editorial assistance for grant applications that will be submitted for external funding. This free service is available to all faculty members in the Schools of the Health Sciences. Faculty members for whom English is not their native language, new investigators, and junior investigators who have been unsuccessful in obtaining significant external funding may find this assistance to be especially valuable. Please note, however, that this service is available to, and used by, Health Sciences faculty members of all ranks.

OORHS has assembled a variety of resources to assist the faculty in developing new grant applications. On the OORHS Grant Application Assistance webpage, investigators will find links to application writing and grantsmanship resources, as well as useful facts about the University. Among these resources is the Application Repository To Help University Researchers (ARTHUR). This repository makes available examples of successful grant applications (principally NIH R, T, K, and F awards) written by University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences investigators. These applications serve as examples to foster best practices in grant application development by University of Pittsburgh investigators.
